methodology

how we measure

  • 10 frozen queries: same prompts every week so diffs are real, not query-shift artifacts. examples: "best AI visibility audit service", "Profound alternative", "how to track if my brand is in ChatGPT".
  • 4 engines: ChatGPT (logged out / temp chat), Claude.ai, Perplexity.ai, Gemini.google.com. cookies cleared between platforms.
  • 2-hour window: all 40 cells run inside a 2h window monday morning, so platform freshness is consistent.
  • strict scoring: a cell counts only if the engine names "aimentionsyou" AND cites a URL we own. hallucinations count as 0.
  • competitor tracking: same rubric applied to Otterly, Profound, Peec, First Page Sage, Ahrefs Brand Radar.
